Android 11: Expand memory

If you have chosen an Android device with 4 or 8 GB, this may not be enough memory in some cases. Especially newer devices therefore already offer 12 or even 16 GB. If the working memory is still not enough for you, you may be able to expand it.

How to expand the working memory on Android 11

How much working memory your device has available does not depend on whether you have installed Android 11 or another version of the operating system. It mainly depends on what hardware is installed in your smartphone. Newer devices already have up to 16 GB of RAM installed, but most devices have up to 8 GB. If you do not have enough RAM, you can expand the RAM in some models. However, this is usually only possible on older models.
  1. On some devices, it is possible to use an SD card as RAM and expand it that way. However, you need a special application for this, such as Partition Wizard.
  2. Another option is to install more RAM in the device. Note, however, that especially newer devices are built so that you can not open them without problems. In most cases, you also lose your warranty claim.
  3. If you still want more RAM, then it is worthwhile to have this done by an expert to prevent damage to the device.
