Resizing images in Paint made easy

Paint is a graphics software that is built into every Windows system. You can create and edit raster graphics with the application. Once you have created an image in Paint, you can resize it afterwards. Here you have the option to adjust the size in pixels, inches or centimeters.

How to change the image size in Paint

If you have opened or created an image in Paint, you have the option to still adjust the image size afterwards.
  1. First open the image in Paint.
  2. Then click on "Resize" at the top of the bar.
  3. Here you can now enter the percentage by which the image should be enlarged. Alternatively, enter a specific pixel size.
  4. Also activate the option "Keep aspect ratio" to avoid distortion of the image.
  5. Afterwards, confirm the adjustment with "Ok".
  6. The size of the image will be adjusted according to your changes.
  7. Afterwards, you can make further adjustments, for example in the image format.
If you want to set the size of the image in inches or centimeters, you have to go to the properties of the image. Click on the blue icon at the top left and select the "Properties" option. Then select "Inches" or "Cm" to be able to enter your desired values. Confirm the change by clicking "Ok".
