Clearing the browser cache - how it works
Every browser has a cache, in which selected data of the visited web pages are temporarily stored. If problems occur while surfing the Internet or if the cache takes up too much space on the hard disk, it is recommended to clear it manually.
With this procedure you empty the browser cache
How you empty the cache of your browser depends on which browser it is. For most browsers, clearing the cache is possible both through the menu and by using a keyboard shortcut.- If you are using Chrome, please press "Ctrl" + "Shift" + "Del" keys and check "Total time period" and "Images and files in cache" before clicking "Clear browser data".
- To clear the cache of Internet Explorer or Microsoft Edge, please first press the key combination of "Ctrl" + "Shift" + "Del". This will open a new window where you click "Delete" under "Temporary Internet Files" or "Cached Data and Files".
- If you have a Mac and surf the Internet with the Safari browser, clear the cache by pressing the key combination of "Cmd "+ "Alt" + "E".
- On the other hand, if you use Microsoft Firefox, click on the top right menu and select "Preferences".
