Installing Windows on Mac - how to do it

A Mac is one of the most popular work laptops because it works quickly and efficiently. However, you may find yourself in need of a program that is only available on Windows. How to install Windows on Mac?

You can install Windows on your Mac in two different ways. One involves running Windows in a VM only. The other installs Windows alongside Mac OS X on your Mac.

1. To run Windows 10 in a VM, you need the Windows 10 Iso. You can get this from Windows.
2. Furthermore, you need the Virtual Box for Mac OS X. Download this from the manufacturer's website and install the tool. Allow the security prompt during the installation. The first time the installation will abort and must be restarted.
3. Start the Virtual Box and create a new VM. Go through the wizard and select everything as you see fit.
4. For the second option, simply launch the Boot Camp Wizard from the Applications folder. Follow the wizard's instructions to install Windows correctly on your Mac.
