If you own a new PC and want to buy Windows 10, the question arises whether the system should run with 32 or 64 bit. We explain how to reach the right decision and what it depends on.

The processor decides: you can quickly find out whether 32 or 64 bits are suitable for your system.

Windows 10 with 64 bits works faster and better than with 32 bits. This is especially true if the PC has more than 4 GB of memory. With 64 bit, the memory is namely used more efficiently as soon as several programs are running at the same time.

This, however, raises the question of why Windows 10 with 32 bit exists at all. The answer to this:

• Not every computer is suitable for Windows with 64 bit.
