The installment payment is very popular with many online shoppers, as they can make larger purchases without having to pay everything directly. For some time, this option is also available at Amazon. However, it is important to pay attention to the various restrictions.

Payment by installments allows you to pay for your purchases over a longer period of time.

What to look out for with Amazon installments

For some time now, it has been possible on Amazon to pay off purchases by installments. For this purpose, the online mail order company cooperates with Barclaycard. To use the payment method, you just have to select it as a payment method at the checkout. Before you do this, however, it makes sense to know the general conditions of the contract.

• Largely not all products can be paid by installment. Currently, the option is only available for a number of selected Amazon products. Excluded from this are, for example, digital products and content or Prime memberships.
• If you want to use the installment payment, you must, after selecting it, fill out an online application form. This is then forwarded to Barclaycard and checked. The decision will be communicated to you directly online.
• Once the application has been confirmed, it is also necessary to carry out a verification process with Barclaycard via Web-Ident. Only after your payment request has been fully accepted, you will receive the goods sent.
• Followed by this, you will receive an email in which you will find a link for online banking. About it you can, for example, make unscheduled repayments or view the remaining installments.
• You can have purchases financed from 100 to 3,000 euros.
