Making your iPhone secure - this is how to do it quickly
iPhones are basically quite secure, but can still have vulnerabilities in many places. Especially if you travel a lot and use public WLAN networks, you should set up your iPhone securely. Personal data can quickly fall into the wrong hands and harm you afterwards.
How easy it is to make your iPhone more secure
The easiest way to secure your phone is to set up a lock. So only you can unlock the phone and operate it.- To set up a particularly secure lock in your iPhone, go to the settings of your smartphone.
- There you now look for the entry "Touch ID & Code" or "Code".
- Now you can store one or more fingerprints or set up any code, ranging from a series of numbers to a pattern that must be drawn on the smartphone.
- Try not to choose an obvious combination like "0000" or "1234" if possible, as these are cracked relatively quickly.
- If you have an iPhone model with Face ID, such as the iPhone X or iPhone 11, you can configure the function in the settings and unlock your iPhone using facial recognition.
