Making a backup of your smartphone is part and parcel of every cell phone owner. This way, you can make sure that all your photos and videos from your last vacation are still available when the smartphone gives up the ghost. With the Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus, you have several options.

How to create a backup on the Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus

You can create a backup either directly in Android or via the free Samsung Keys software. A backup can then be synced with Google Drive.

1. To create a backup, simply use Samsung Keys. Install the software on your PC and launch it.
2. Now connect your phone to the PC and wait for Samsung Keys to recognize it.
3. Select "Backup and Restore" at the top of the software's menu bar.
4. Now a backup is created, which is stored on the PC with various information (date, time, device name).
5. You can now disconnect the smartphone from the PC again.
6. If you prefer to create a backup via Google, you should know that Google does not store all data. Nur Geräte-Einstellungen und App-Einstellungen werden in dem Backup hinterlegt.
7. Gehen Sie innerhalb der Einstellungen Ihres Smartphones auf „Sichern und zurücksetzen“ und wählen Sie „Konto hinzufügen“.
8. Melden Sie sich mit Ihrem Google-Konto an und tippen Sie danach auf „Meine Daten sicher & automatisch wiederherstellen“.
