Hide apps: Android 11 - how to protect yourself

If you have an app installed that you don't want anyone to see or that you want to hide, you can also remove it from the home screen on Android 11. This way, the app remains installed, but is no longer visible to other people looking at your phone without further ado.

Hiding your apps on Android 11 is easy

If you want to hide an app without uninstalling it, you can do that with Android 11. You don't need to install any additional software for this, as the feature is already built into the operating system. The function to hide apps is called "Remove" in Android 11. However, keep in mind that your apps can still be found with some effort, because hidden or removed apps only disappear from the home screen. You can find your app afterwards via the "App Info" function, which you can find in the settings under "Apps & Notifications".

How to hide apps on Android 11

1. Navigate to the home or home screen by tapping on the small white dot at the bottom of the screen in the middle.
