If you would like to control Spotify music playback by voice, this is possible by connecting to the Google Home, as it has an integrated voice assistant. However, before using it for the first time, it is necessary to connect your Spotify account to the Google Home speaker.

How to use Spotify and Google Home together

If you have a Google Home, you can connect your Spotify account to it. This works through Spotify Connect and allows you to control music playback in the app with your voice. However, after a seven-day trial period, you will need a premium subscription with the streaming service to share the Google Home and Spotify, as Spotify Connect is only included with it.

How to set up Spotify on the Google Home

If you use the same email address on both the Google Home and Spotify, the linking of the two accounts will be offered to you automatically in Spotify's app.

1. If, on the other hand, you do not yet have a Spotify account, please create it first via Spotify's registration page.
