WoW: Install addons from Curse - how to do it

Curse has been the main name for using handy addons since the early years of World of Warcraft. Our guide explains what options you have for installing them.

The basic principle is quite simple: at curseforge.com/wow/addons you will find a long list of addons for World of Warcraft. Installing them is not difficult either.

Two ways: How to install Curse addons

Once you have found one (or probably several) suitable addons, there are two ways to install them:

• The most convenient way is to download and install the client first. Namely, then you can simply click "Install" on the page of the respective addon - the program will automatically do the rest.
• The other option is to download the file manually by clicking "Download". After that, you still need to move the file to the correct folder. This is "World of Warcraft/_retail_/Interface/AddOns".

Important: If you want to manually install the addons for WoW Classic, the folder is "World of Warcraft/_classic_/Interface/AddOns".In the game itself, you will find an overview of all addons in the main menu at the bottom left by the button of the same name and can activate or deactivate them there as needed.
