Asus Zenfone 6: Music player - how to play songs

With your Asus Zenfone 6, you can not only send messages or take extraordinary photos with the rotary camera - of course, you also have an application that plays music. Even playing cloud files is possible.

This is how you listen to music with the Asus Zenfone

The "Music" app is available on the Asus Zenfone 6 for playing your music collection. This is already pre-installed and can play files directly on the smartphone as well as music from external sources like a memory card or a cloud. To open music files, proceed as follows:
  1. On the home screen, tap the icon with the six dots, which is usually located in the center. This will open a list with all your apps.
  2. Search for the app "Music" and tap on it.
  3. The app will now be launched.
  4. You will see all the songs you have stored internally on your smartphone.
  5. You can start playing a track by tapping on it.
If you are not satisfied with Asus' music player, you can always download an alternative like Poweramp from the Google Play Store.

Playing music from external sources

If you have stored your music on an external memory card and not directly on the smartphone, you have to proceed a bit differently to play it:
  1. First open the "Music" app as described above.
  2. Tap then on the icon with the three horizontal lines.
  3. Navigate then to "My Device" > "Music".
  4. Now you can browse your music collection, which is located on the memory card.
Alternatively, play your music from a cloud. To do this, simply go to "Cloud Music" in the Music app.
