Samsung Galaxy S20: Suppress number - this is how it works

The latest smartphone from the house of Samsung offers you a high degree of privacy through the optional number suppression. Here, you can choose whether your number should only be suppressed for specific calls or permanently. You can flexibly change this function in no time.

How to suppress the number of your Samsung Galaxy S20

  1. Tap on the phone app and there on "More features" (icon with 3 dots).
  2. Within this menu, select "Settings" and tap on Additional services.
  3. In this menu item, tap on "Show caller ID". Now you have the choice between "Network default", "Hide number" or "Show number". The default variant "Network default" shows your number most of the time.
  4. For caller ID suppression, select "Hide number". So you ensure that for outgoing calls from now on your mobile number will not be visible on the called device.

How to hide your number specifically for individual calls

You can also suppress the number of your Samsung Galaxy S20 using a so-called GSM code. These input commands, which can be used for all smartphones, are particularly suitable for hiding your phone number once. All you have to do is type the combination #31# in front of the dialed phone number. The phone number of your smartphone will then remain invisible for this specific call.
