These apps are suitable for identifying plants
If you are often out and about in nature and are interested in the different plants that exist, a number of apps will help you identify them.- One app for identifying plants is PlanetNet. This is available for free for all smartphones running iOS and Android and includes a database of photos of more than 4,000 different plants. PlanetNet works quite simply by photographing part of the plant you want to identify and making a search query.
- Also free, but only available for Android devices, is the app "Discover animals and plants". This allows you to find out via GPS function, which plants are located in your vicinity and also helps you through a list of criteria in the determination of unknown plants.
- The Berlin Natural History Museum has developed the app "Naturblick". This is free to download and can be used to determine plants such as trees, herbs and wildflowers.
