Zoom: application requirements

With Zoom, video conferencing is quite easy. The application has a lot of features. Nevertheless, certain system requirements are necessary to use Zoom without any problems. You can find out what requirements your device must meet to use Zoom here.

Prerequisites for using Zoom

The basic requirements include a stable Internet connection and an end device with a microphone and camera. To prevent problems with Zoom, the application recommends using only devices that meet the following system requirements:

• Operating system: for Apple devices, you must be using at least macOS X with macOS 10.9 or a later version. For Windows devices, Zoom works on Windows 7, 8, and 10 versions, and you can also use Zoom with Ubuntu version 12.04 or later. The app also works on all newer iOS and Android devices.
• Browser: On Windows PCs, Zoom works with browser versions Edge 12+, Firefox 27+, and Chrome 30+ or higher. For Zoom use via Mac's Safari browser, you need at least version 7.
• Processor: The minimum processor power must not be less than a single core 1 Ghz. However, Zoom recommends a Dual Core 2 Ghz processor or even more powerful alternatives.
