Encrypting an SSD hard drive can be a useful security measure to protect your data. If you are using the Pro version of Windows 10, you will find a corresponding option in the hard drive settings.

1. Click the hard disk with the right mouse button.
2. Go to "Properties".
3. In the menu, first select "General" and then "Advanced".
4. Click "Encrypt contents to protect data.
5. Confirm the selection.
6. You will now be asked whether the subdirectories should also be encrypted. Make a selection here and confirm again with "OK".
