MacOS Mojave: System Requirements

Is Mojave interesting for you because you want to benefit from the new visual highlights, but also from the improved performance of the operating system? Then you should know in advance what requirements your Mac must meet so that you can install Mojave and use it smoothly.

These are the requirements your system must meet

Although High Sierra isn't all that old, the system requirements for Mojave have been raised significantly.
  1. The Mac Pro is the only device that can be older than 2012 and still run Mojave. The prerequisite here is that your Mac Pro supports a Metal-capable graphics card.
  2. All devices older than 2012 can no longer be upgraded with Mojave, as the performance capabilities of the operating system overwhelm the hardware.
  3. You can upgrade your MacBook if you purchased it no later than the beginning of 2015.
  4. You should have purchased the MacBook Air no later than mid-2012, as well as the MacBook Pro.
  5. Your Mac Mini must not be older than 2012 for Majave to be installed.
  6. Mojave is also suitable for all iMacs purchased after 2012.
  7. There are no restrictions for the iMac Pro, as all systems are suitable for Mojave.

Proceed correctly

When Apple support advises you that a new update of the operating system is possible, we use the term "update". Nevertheless, this is a major change that should be accompanied by backing up your data and ridding your Mac of collected data junk.
