The "Zoom" video conferencing platform is in great demand in times of home office and home learning. Especially meetings and conferences can be held from home inside and outside the company. All you need is an Internet-enabled device with a microphone and webcam.

How to turn on the sound in Zoom

Sound is essential in Zoom so that you can understand the other participants during a conference and take part in what is happening. If the sound is switched off, you can switch it on again in a few simple steps. You should first check in which area the sound is switched off.

• If the sound is generally switched off on your PC or tablet, you can either change this using the volume control on the side of your tablet or click on the loudspeaker symbol in the taskbar at the bottom right of the PC. There you can not only turn on the sound, but also change the volume.
• If you are using amplifiers or speakers, then also look to see if they are turned on and selected as the output medium.
• If only Zoom is muted, you need to navigate to the settings.

How to unmute Zoom

1. First, log in to Zoom.
