Zoom has no sound - that may be the problem
With the "Zoom" platform, you can hold video conferences on the job and in everyday life. All you need is an Internet-enabled device, a microphone and a webcam. In addition, you have the option of making various settings before and during the conference.
This is why Zoom has no sound
In order to participate in a video conference on Zoom, sound is essential. However, if this does not work, there are various causes for this. These can be checked quite quickly and can usually be fixed with little effort.- The first thing to check is whether the problem occurs in general or whether the sound only does not work when using the Zoom platform. If it is a general problem, then open the speaker settings of your terminal. There you can see if they are turned off or if you have selected the wrong output.
- It is also important that your counterpart has turned on his microphone and that it was detected correctly.
- If this is not the cause, then test whether your sound may have been muted. To do this, click on the speaker icon at the bottom of your taskbar and adjust the slider accordingly.
- The same applies to the Zoom platform. If it is muted, then it is impossible for you to hear sound. Therefore, right-click on the speaker icon in your taskbar and open the "Volume Mixer". There you can adjust the sound specifically for the program during use.
- To check the internal settings in terms of sound at Zoom for functionality, go to the "Settings" and navigate there to "Audio". Then select the "Sound test".
