Valheim: Create a game score backup - here's how

Even though Valheim runs amazingly bug-free for an early access game, there is always the risk of an unpleasant surprise. This also affects the game state and we explain how to create a backup.

Because the more time you spend in Valheim, the more annoying it would be to lose the game save abruptly. Fortunately, this can be prevented.

Valheim: How to create a backup of your game score

Proceed as follows:

1. Open your Windows partition and then the folder "\Username\AppData\LocalLow".
2. There you will find the folder "IronGate", which contains "Valheim".
3. Here you will find all the data you need: In "characters" are the files to your character, in "worlds" are all worlds or seeds stored.

Just copy the "Valheim" folder to a safe place. This way, if you lose it, you will always have a copy that you only need to copy to the main "IronGate" folder to restore all data.
