A Total War Saga - TROY: When will the game be released on Steam?

Epic Games is notorious in the gaming scene for exclusive deals. Epic Games also made the running for the latest installment in the Total War series. We explain what that means for the Steam release.

Once again, because of Epic Games, Steam has to wait a year for A Total War Saga - TROY.

Exclusive games are a central part of Epic Games' strategy, as highlighted here. With Total War, a particularly big name now joins this lineup.

A Total War Saga - TROY: Not until summer 2021 on Steam

The Trojan Total War spin-off was released on August 13, 2020 by Epic Games.

• A release date for Steam at this time was only given as summer 2021.
• Since previous exclusive deals of this kind have been limited to one year several times, it can be assumed that this is also the case for Total War.
• The Steam release would thus - regardless of possible other factors - fall on mid-August 2021.

For strategy fans who want to keep faith with Steam at the same time, this means a dilemma. Those who nevertheless remain disciplined can already find the Steam page of the game here. However, the pre-order is not yet possible.
