Pokémon Go: Battle with friends - how it works

In Pokémon Go, you collect new Pokémon, train them, and compete against other trainers in battles. If you don't want to fight alone, it is also possible to play together with friends in Pokémon Go. Read what you need to bear in mind.

This is how you fight in Pokémon Go together with your friends

Instead of competing alone in arenas, you can do it together with your friends. If you and your friends are near the arena, simply start the battle by tapping on it. Fighting together is not only useful against strong arenas, but also to tackle Raids.

1. Before you can fight together in Raids with up to five friends, click on the "Raids" tab in the game to find out where a Raid is taking place nearby.
2. Alternatively, you can find the information about upcoming Raids by tapping on the icon with the wild Pokémon in the bottom right corner.
3. Then go to the arena where the raid is taking place and tap it to start the fight.

Pokémon Go: How to fight against instead of with your friends

In addition to the possibility of fighting together with your friends in Pokémon Go, you can also compete against them. However, this only works if one of your friends is nearby. If this is the case, visit their Pokémon Go profile, click on "Fight" there and select the league in which you want to fight. Once your friend has accepted the request, all you have to do is choose a Pokémon and the battle can begin.
