Samsung Galaxy S10 5G: Transfer data

To transfer data to the Samsung Galaxy S10 5G, you need the appropriate Samsung app. This is available for free in the Google Play Store and Galaxy Apps and has to be installed on both devices. Read here how to proceed for data transfer.

These are the requirements for data transfer

To transfer data from another smartphone to the Samsung Galaxy S10 5G, Samsung offers you the "Smart Switch Mobile" app. First install it from your app store by tapping the "magnifying glass icon", entering the term "Smart Switch" and downloading the app. When doing so, please note that Smart Switch must be installed on both devices and both devices need the Wi-Fi Direct feature.

To transfer data to Samsung Galaxy S10 5G

To start transferring data, please launch Smart Switch on both devices. To do this, go to "Settings" > Backup and Reset" on the Samsung Galaxy S10 5G and tap "Open Smart Switch".

1. You will now see an overview of all the data available for transfer and you will need to confirm the terms of use.
2. Select "Wireless" on both devices and set the sending and receiving device by tapping "Send" on your old smartphone and "Receive" on the Samsung device.
3. Tippen Sie auf dem Sendegerät nun noch auf „Verbinden“ und geben Sie auf dem Empfangsgerät den angezeigten Code ein.
4. Wählen Sie abschließend die zu übertragenden Daten aus und bestätigen Sie den Vorgang durch erneutes Drücken auf „Senden“ beziehungsweise „Empfangen“.
