The special feature of smart weapons is already written in their description: the projectiles find their target independently.

• Also in the description, however, it is written that smart link cyberware is required for this. Without it, you can only use the smart weapon like a normal weapon - so you have to aim it yourself.
• You can get the cyberware implanted at a ripperdoc. The cheapest option to start with is the Tyger Claws skin implant. With this you can already use the smart function, even if further bonuses are only included in more expensive cyberware items.
• In the application there is not much to consider afterwards: You aim at an opponent and then target it - in this way, the projectiles independently find their target.

The Smart ability, however, also depends on the range. This varies significantly depending on the weapon. So you can shoot smart with a sniper rifle from a greater distance than with a pistol.
