PS4 firmware update - how to update the device

If your PS4 is connected to the internet, you can update the firmware directly from the console.

1. Start your console and go to "Settings" > "System Software Update".

3. If available, the software is downloaded and you can install it via "Function screen" > "Messages" > "Downloads".
4. If the installation is complete, use the PS4 as usual.
5. So that you do not always have to manually download the updates for the PS4, set under "System" > "Automatic Downloads and Uploads" a check mark next to "Enable automatic downloads and uploads".

About a CD, the firmware can also be installed. To do this, download the latest version and save it to the data carrier.then insert the CD into the PS4. If the console recognizes the CD, you will automatically be guided through the installation.
