Disney Plus Sky - how to connect the services

Sky has a large online offering that allows you to access various content. Via Sky Ticket, it is possible to stream movies, series or sporting events. But Sky Q has also already integrated numerous services. However, there is a big delay when starting the Disney Plus streaming service.

What you need to keep in mind with Sky and Disney Plus

Through Sky Q, you can access all Sky content and partner services. For this, you must be a Sky customer and have a corresponding Sky Q receiver. On 24.03.2020, the new streaming service Disney Plus has now also appeared in Germany. But this will not be accessible right at the beginning via Sky Q.

1. Disney and Telekom have already concluded a contract when the streaming service was released. Thus, Magenta customers can access the service free of charge for the first six months.
2. Sky therefore has no contract with the streaming service and must initially do without Disney Plus.
3. Since the exclusive advance with Telekom is scheduled for a full year, Disney Plus is not expected to be available on Sky Q until April 2021.
4. Whether active subscriptions will be taken over afterwards or how the transfer to Sky Q will take place, is therefore not yet known.
5. Because of this postponement, Sky will also make some changes to the program. So werden Disney-Inhalte nicht mehr auf Sky verfügbar sein.
