"Remove Recommended by Pocket" - how to do it

Using the Pocket feature, Mozilla Firefox suggests articles and web pages to you in new tabs. If you don't want to use the feature or find the suggestions annoying, you can disable the feature. Learn how to turn off the Pocket feature in Firefox here.

Turn off Pocket feature via Firefox settings

If you no longer want to receive recommendations from Pocket when you open new tabs in Firefox, you need to disable the feature in the browser settings. You can't completely remove the feature, but turning it off should be enough to stop recommendations from appearing in new tabs. Follow these steps to disable the Pocket feature in Firefox:
  1. Open Firefox.
  2. Click on the three dashes in the top right corner to open the menu and access the settings.
  3. Use the navigation on the left to switch to the "Home" category.
  4. Scroll down to "Firefox home screen contents" and uncheck "Recommendations from Pocket".
The change is immediately applied by the browser. If you now open a new tab or call up the Firefox home page, no new websites or articles will be suggested to you by Pocket.

Block advertising - this is how it works

You can block annoying advertising on websites with the help of ad blockers such as uBlock Origin or Adblock Plus. You add the extensions conveniently via Firefox's Addon Management.
