PDF: Highlight text - how to highlight text

If you want to highlight text in a PDF document, it works with the appropriate PDF tools, such as Adobe Acrobat Reader. The software is equipped with an extra feature that allows you to mark and highlight complete text passages, individual words or characters.

PDF: Highlight text with Adobe Acrobat Reader

Acrobat Reader is equipped with tool sets for different tasks. In Annotate mode, you will find, among other things, a highlighter tool that allows you to highlight text. The different tool sets are available in both the free and Pro versions of Acrobat Reader.Follow these steps to highlight text in Acrobat Reader:
  1. Open Acrobat Reader and display the document in which you want to highlight something.
  2. Click on the "Annotate" function in the navigation to the right of the document to display the Annotate menu with the associated tools.
  3. Click on the highlighter icon in the Annotate menu.
  4. Now, if you highlight text passages, words or characters, they will be highlighted in yellow as if by a highlighter.
Alternatively to the highlighter tool, you can also select text using the normal selection tool. Then right-click in the selection, you can select "Highlight Text" from the menu. The text will then be highlighted in yellow.You do not necessarily have to rely on Adobe Acrobat Reader. Other PDF editing software, such as PDF24, is also equipped with appropriate functions.
