Setting up an FTP server for the Fritz!BOX - how to do it

How to set up an FTP server on your Fritz!BOX

Your router has ready-made settings for this particular case, so you can set up and start a server with just a few clicks.

1. First, open the user interface of your Fritz!BOX. To do this, switch to the browser and enter [fritz.box] in the address bar.
2. Then click on "Content" and go directly to "Home Network".
3. Further, search for "NAS" and click on "Activation".
4. Now select the item "Share storage with users from the Internet".
5. Now click "Select Directory" and select the folders you want to make available for sharing.
6. Finally click "OK" and "Apply" to save all changes.

1. Grundsätzlich kann nun jeder, der Ihrer DynDNS-Adresse kennt, auf den Server und damit Ihre Daten zugreifen.
2. Um das zu verhindern, klicken Sie in der Benutzeroberfläche auf „Sicherheit“ und legen ein Passwort fest, mit dem Sie die Daten vor Fremdzugriff schützen.
3. Zusätzlich stellen Sie die Rechte für die Nutzer ein, die das Passwort besitzen.
4. Abschließend klicken Sie erneut auf „Übernehmen“.
