The Nokia 7 Plus will be unveiled on February 25 during an event at Mobile World Congress 2018 in Barcelona. Here's what the smartphone will look like
After a 2017 run-in, Nokia and HMD Global are ready to get serious in this 2018. The first year served the Finnish company mainly to take measures and understand how much users were waiting for Nokia's return. Despite the failure of Windows Phone, the love for the Finnish brand has never waned.
In 2017 HMD Global (the Finnish company that is making Nokia-branded smartphones) presented a very interesting line-up: Nokia 3 for those looking for a low-cost device, Nokia 5 and Nokia 6 for the mid-range segment and the Nokia 8 for those who want a smartphone with top features and a lower price than the competition. The devices have been very well received by users, despite some problems related to production times. For 2018, the Finnish company has promised that delivery times will be met and that the new smartphones will have even more interesting features.
Among these new devices there will also be the Nokia 7 Plus. According to the latest rumors, the device will be presented during the event that Nokia and HMD Global are organizing for February 25 during the Mobile World Congress 2018, the global event dedicated to smartphones. The Nokia 7 Plus is an Android One smartphone and this will allow it to receive OS updates in advance of other devices . To see it in Italy will not have to wait long: between March and April should arrive on the market.
The characteristics of the Nokia 7 Plus
The Nokia 7 has already been presented by the Finnish company. It is a smartphone launched only on the Asian market. In Europe will come the Nokia 7 Plus, an enhanced version, with a completely different hardware compartment and above all will be part of the Android One family. And a little over two weeks from the official presentation also come some rumors about the technical characteristics. On board we find the Snapdragon 660 chipset supported by 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal memory, expandable with microSD. The screen will be a good 6 inches and will have an aspect ratio of 18:9 (FullHD resolution) and very thin bezels. It will be the first Nokia smartphone to use the new 18:9 panels.
The photo compartment will be made by the company Carl Zeiss, with which HMD Global has already collaborated for the Nokia 8. At the back there will be a dual camera with a 12 Megapixel sensor and the other 13 Megapixel with 2x optical zoom. In the front the camera will be 16 Megapixel with Tetracell technology for selfies. The Nokia 7 Plus will allow Bothie shooting (the ability to take a photo using the front and rear sensors at the same time) and video recording with OZO Audio technology. The smartphone will have Android Oreo 8.0 in the stock version. The battery, on the other hand, will support fast charging.
Price and release date Nokia 7 Plus
It is difficult to say for sure how much the Nokia 7 Plus will cost and when it will be available on the market. HMD Global has assured that this year there will be no delays in the release of the devices: if the smartphone will be presented on February 25, we will see it on the market between March and April. As for the price, it is only possible to make predictions: a launch price between 349 and 399 euros would make it one of the most interesting devices in the mid-range.
