There is great anticipation for the new OnePlus 7 smartphone, the Chinese top of the line with mini price. Here are what will be its features
OnePlus' strategy is one of the most peculiar and interesting on the market: the first phone released by the company in 2014 had excellent technical specifications, against a really competitive price. Last year, it launched its OnePlus 6T at a cost of $579, half of the phones offered by competitors with equal technical specifications.
In recent days, the first images of the new OnePlus 7, the cheapest top-of-the-line smartphone on the market, have been released. According to the very first rumors, in fact, the next flagship of the Chinese manufacturer should have features comparable to those of the Galaxy S10+ or the Huawei P30 Pro, but with a list price much lower. Not only that, OnePlus should change its commercial strategy and present itself on the market with more than one model. Just like Apple and Samsung, the Chinese company should present three new models, with which to differentiate its strategy and reach a wider audience.
OnePlus 7: here's how it will be the cheapest smartphone
The new OnePlus 7 has nothing to send to an iPhone or a Samsung Galaxy, but it costs half as much. You only have to look at the company's previous phones to see that the focus on value for money has always been a constant. For example, the OnePlus 6T released last year is one of the best performing phones, and it costs just over 500 euros. It is a budget smartphone, but with high-level technical specifications. It has a 6.4-inch AMOLED screen and a Snapdragon 855 processor, like other flagship Android phones. It has a memory of 8 GB of RAM and 128 GM of storage. It also features a dual-sensor camera system at the back of the phone.
In 2019, the company is expected to release three new flagship smartphones, one of them being the OnePlus 7. The expectations for this device are very high. In fact, from the render it appears that the OnePlus 7 will have a pop-up front camera. Some phones in China already have this design, which instead of placing the front camera in the bezel, as it happens with the Galaxy S10, allow you to pull it out when you feel like a selfie.
The front cam of the new OnePlus 7 will be introduced in a slot of the upper edge. This allows you to almost completely remove the top bezel from the screen in which to insert the fixed front cam. A user named Waqar Khan has created a render that shows just how the pop-up front camera might look like. In addition to this, the smartphone will probably have a triple camera, and it should also have a Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset. There's no word yet on when it will be released, but we're talking about the second quarter of 2019.
