Xiaomi has launched its first smartphone dedicated to the gaming world. The Black Shark has the Snapdragon 845 with 6/8GB of RAM and 64/128GB of internal memory
In a historical moment where ideas in the world of smartphones seemed to run out, manufacturers have invented a new market niche: gaming smartphones. Devices with very high performance (higher than many top of the range launched in the last period on the market) and special features.
The first to launch a smartphone for gamers was Razer (company specialized in peripherals for gamers) with its Razer Phone. Now Xiaomi is also making its debut in the sector with the Black Shark, a gaming smartphone characterized by a very particular design and an extremely valid technical card. In addition to the smartphone, Xiaomi has also presented a controller that connects to the top of the Black Shark and that will allow you to live an immersive gaming experience. The device will be available in China from April 20 and for the moment it is not known if it will also arrive in Europe.

For Xiaomi it is the first experience in this new market niche. And the debut has been in style. The Xiaomi Black Shark not only has a top-of-the-line spec sheet, but also combines special features to boost performance and a liquid cooling system to avoid damaging the internal components of the smartphone.
Aboard the Xiaomi Black Shark we find the Snapdragon 845 chipset supported by the Adreno 630 graphics accelerator and another graphics chip specially made by Xiaomi. The smartphone will come out in two versions with a different amount of RAM and storage space: a "base" model with the 6/64GB combo and one with 8/128GB. The screen will be 5.99 inches with a FullHD+ resolution and an aspect ratio of 18:9. The Chinese company has also focused on the photo compartment, mounting a dual camera at the back with a 12-megapixel main sensor and a focal aperture of 1.75. The secondary sensor, however, is 20 Megapixels. In the front is placed a 20-megapixel lens that will support Face Unlock, Xiaomi's technology for unlocking the smartphone with face recognition. The audio compartment will feature a stereo speaker and a gaming microphone. The battery will be 4000mAh with Quick Charge 3.0. The smartphone will use a new user interface (JOY UI) based on MUIU 9.0.

Xiaomi has also developed a controller that connects to the top of the smartphone and offers ALPS controls that enhance the gaming experience. There is also a button on the back that allows you to boost the performance of the device. A special liquid cooling system has been integrated to keep the smartphone's temperatures under control.
Price and Availability Xiaomi Black Shark
The smartphone will be available for purchase from April 20, but for now only in China. Italian users who want to buy it will have to refer to Chinese e-commerce sites or those who import smartphones from China. The smartphone could arrive in Italy in the coming months, when Xiaomi will open its first official store in Milan. The price of the Xiaomi Black Shark is very competitive: for the 6/64GB version the cost is about 390 euros, while for the top of the range model you will have to shell out about 450 euros. Available in two versions: Black and Silver.
The controller, however, will be sold at a price of about 25 euros.
