The new cheap smart TVs from Xiaomi are ready for launch: here's what the 32 and 43 inch Mi TV 4A Horizon Edition looks like
Xiaomi invests in the smart TV market and goes on to launch the new Mi TV 4A Horizon Edition in 32 and 43 inch versions. These are two televisions that stand out for the almost bezel-less display at a very low cost price, with good features and excellent value for money.
The features of the Mi TV 4A Horizon Edition are very similar to each other and both versions can count on Xiaomi's Vivid Picture Engine technology. A technology that ensures accurate screen calibration, with high contrasts and excellent accuracy in color reproduction. The main difference lies in the screen with an elegant design almost without a frame, which stops at 1366×768 pixels for the smaller model and is instead Full HD for the 43-inch model. All that remains is to wait for the launch in early September in India and then the arrival on the Italian market.
Mi TV 4A, the characteristics
The two new smart Tvs have an elegant design, with LED-backlit LFC display and very thin bezels. The 32-inch model has an HD resolution of 1366×768 pixels with 178° viewing angle, 93% surface-to-screen ratio and 6.5 millisecond response time. The 43-inch variant, on the other hand, offers a Full HD resolution of 1920×1080 pixels, with a surface-to-screen ratio of 95% and the same response time.
This is the main difference between Xiaomi's two smart TVs, which are both equipped with a quad-core Amlogic Cortex-A53 processor supported by 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of internal memory, with Mali-450 MP3 GPU. The two smart TVs feature 3 HDMI inputs, 2 USB-A ports, Ethernet input, 3.5mm jack and two 10W speakers with DTS-HD surround sound.
The operating system is based on Android TV with PatchWall and customized by Xiaomi with MIUI for TV. It also supports other features such as Mi Quick Wake, built-in Google Assistant and Chromcast connection. Connectivity is both single band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.2.
Mi TV 4A, a really low cost price
To be really competitive is the price of the Mi TV 4A Horizon Edition, which stands at 13,499 Indian rupees, about 155 euros, for the 32-inch version, which will go on sale in Indian stores and online from September 11. The 43-inch model, on the other hand, will hit the market starting September 15 and will cost 22,999 Indian rupees, about €264.
Both new models will also go on sale on Xiaomi's website and Amazon, and although there's no official release date in Italy yet, the smart TVs could be coming to our country soon.
