Galaxy S10 Lite: how will be the low cost smartphone Samsung

The smartphone will have a 5.75-inch screen and the fingerprint sensor on one side. Excluded the presence of the triple rear camera

The rumors continue to come out about the Galaxy S10 Lite, one of the three devices that Samsung is ready to present at the Mobile World Congress 2019 in Barcelona. The smartphone is aimed at those who are not interested in spending a huge amount of money and are looking for a device with a compact size.

The Galaxy S10 Lite, in fact, will have a 5.75-inch screen and will feature a hole in the upper right corner where the front camera will be inserted. The smartphone will also be less powerful than the Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10+, the other two top-of-the-line devices that will debut on the MWC 2019 stage. According to rumors published on Twitter by a journalist always well-informed about the world of Samsung, the Galaxy S10 Lite should mount the Exynos 9820 chipset supported only by 4GB of RAM and 32 or 64GB of internal memory.

The characteristics of the Galaxy S10 Lite

The low-cost smartphone from Samsung will feature a 5.75-inch "flat" screen (it will not be folded at the ends) with FullHD+ resolution and 19:9 aspect ratio. Compared to its "brothers" it will be slightly smaller, but it will also be more comfortable to use with one hand. The Galaxy S10 Lite will also have the front hole, a novelty that will be present on most of the smartphones coming out in 2019 and will replace the notch. Being a "low-cost" smartphone, it will not have a top-of-the-line photographic compartment: dual rear cameras and a single sensor on the front (the Galaxy S10 Plus will have as many as four cameras).

In contrast to the two top versions, the Galaxy S10 Lite will not have the fingerprint sensor under the screen, but a physical sensor will be placed on the side or at the back.

When the Galaxy S10 Lite comes out

Samsung will present its new smartphones during an event organized at Mobile World Congress 2019. From some anticipations published also on Twitter, the South Korean company is preparing an event for February 20: if the date is confirmed, the Galaxy S10 Lite will arrive on the market in the second half of March.
