From September 19, 2019, the Europa League, Europe's second most important tournament, starts again. It will be an eight-month long ride, with 48 teams (plus the 12 that will descend from the Champions League) playing for a chance to play the final on May 27 at the Stadion Energa Gdańsk in Gdansk, Poland. The obligatory favorites are again this year the English teams. After the Chelsea-Arsenal final in the last edition, two English teams could reach the final act: Arsenal and Manchester United.
Italy is represented by two Roman teams: Lazio and Roma. Torino went out in the last preliminary round losing the double confrontation against Wolverhampton. The two Italian teams have a good chance to move forward in the competition and reach the final stages. Lazio was unlucky and, despite being seeded, has a rather complicated group. Celtic, Rennes and Cluj are very well prepared teams, both technically and tactically. Roma, on the other hand, will have to deal with the Germans of Borussia Mönchengladbach, the Turks of Istanbul Basaksehir and the Austrians of Wolfsberg.
The TV rights of the Europa League 2019 - 2020 have been purchased by Sky, which will broadcast all the most important matches exclusively on its channels. For fans of the competition there will also be Diretta Gol, with the possibility to see live all the most important actions of the various matches. Those who do not have a subscription to Sky should not despair, as already happened last year, the best match of the Italian Thursday night will be broadcast free to air on TV8, digital terrestrial channel. Free streaming is also available on TV8's website and on SkyGo (Sky subscribers only).
