Surface Pro 6: Screen flickers - what you can do
A while ago, the Surface Pro 4 had the problem that the screen just started flickering. So far, there are no reports of the Surface Pro 6 experiencing the same bug. However, it may still happen that your display is defective.
What to do if the Surface Pro 6 screen flickers
If the display of your tablet flickers, there is probably a defect. Contact the Microsoft repair service.- Go to the Microsoft Service page and log in with your user data.
- Select your Surface Pro 6 and continue via "Send devices for service" to "Start service order".
- Select "Hardware and drivers" as the categorie. Under error type, you can now select "Damaged screen".
- Now you just have to follow the instructions. Attention, without Microsoft Complete it may cost money.
- You should create a backup of the same before sending the device. To do this, connect a USB stick of sufficient size and copy all the data you want to back up to the stick. When you send it in, all data will be deleted from the device.
- You can also have the screen repaired at a Microsoft Store. To do this, simply go to the nearest store near you and describe the problem to a customer service representative.
