iPhone X: Disable GPS - how to do it
On the iPhone X, the GPS function is used by various apps to determine your current location. If you do not use the GPS on your iPhone X, it is recommended to disable the function to save battery power. There are two options available for this.
How to disable GPS on your iPhone X
GPS is short for "Global Positioning System" and refers to a service that allows apps on your iPhone X to access your current location position. Thereby, using the GPS function is especially helpful for navigation, using the search function or a weather app. If you do not want to use the GPS on your iPhone X, for example, for security reasons or to save battery power, the function can be turned off via the settings.- Open the Settings app by tapping the corresponding icon on the home screen.
- Navigate to "Privacy" > "Location Services" and move the slider next to the entry "Location Services" so that it is highlighted in white.
- Click on "Disable" in the displayed message to confirm the complete disabling of the GPS function.
