Mulan was a big, expensive production. That this would not be able to generate revenue in theaters for the foreseeable future was therefore extremely painful for Disney.

Disney+: Subscription is not enough for Mulan - VIP access is necessary

As a consequence, the U.S. company therefore decided to broadcast the film via its in-house streaming service Disney+.

• However, Mulan is not available for free. In Germany, the film will cost 21.99 euros.
• The reason given for the price is that Mulan was originally intended for the cinema - and there the costs for families would be even significantly higher. Disney thus appeals to the cinema mentality of the audience.
• Possible from September 4. Through the "ticket" purchase you get a VIP access, which is valid until November 2, 2020. During this time and even after you can access Mulan as often as you want.
• In addition, however, an active subscription to Disney+ is required. Only then can you buy VIP access for Mulan.
