Outlook: Add a mailbox - these steps are necessary

How to add a new mailbox in Outlook

If you use Outlook as your mail program, it offers you the option of using more than one mailbox at the same time. This is especially useful if you have more than one email address.
  1. To add a new mailbox to Outlook, first start the program and select "Add account".
  2. Then enter the name of the user, the email address of the mailbox and the associated password and confirm with "Next".
  3. Outlook now checks the entered data for accuracy and you must finally click "Finish" to complete the setup process.

This procedure deletes a mailbox in Outlook

If you do not use one of the mailboxes in your Outlook account, for example, because you have deactivated the e-mail address, you can remove it from Outlook at any time. To do this, switch to the "File" tab in Outlook and navigate there to the "Account settings". Then select the mailbox you want to delete and click "Remove" next to it. You will then be presented with a warning message, which you should confirm by clicking "Yes" to delete the mailbox.
