Printing with Android devices - here's how to do it

Having received an email with a document attached and opened it on your smartphone, you can print the file directly from your Android device. The only thing you need for this is a network-enabled printer that you can access from your mobile device.

How to print from your Android device

To print from your Android, you usually don't need an extra app. Most apps that allow you to open various documents usually offer a feature that allows you to print documents over the network. Generally, every printer manufacturer also offers its own app that you can use to print files.

1. Open the document in any app and click on the menu. Usually this is marked by three small dots.
2. Tap on the option "Share..." and select "Print" in the further process.
3. If the menu item "Print" is not displayed, then you can also select the corresponding printer app. The document is then opened in this and can be printed.
4. In the printer app, you also have the option to specify other settings such as the color or the size. Which options are available to you, depends mostly on the version of your printer.
