Social Dining: Chef One invites you home

Social dining is hard-hitting, as it perfectly reflects the zeitgeist. High-quality food, gladly even with event character, combined with the networking possibilities of the digital world: no wonder Chef One was one of the most popular apps. However, this has been discontinued for some time.

Thanks to Chef One, no one has to eat alone anymore - and without expensive restaurants.

Chef One from the Lion's Den conquers the market

Chef One was not the first and only app of its kind. In recent years, many apps have emerged that bring strangers together for a meal, and with great success. However, Chef One achieved great notoriety through the TV show "Höhle der Löwen" and became known to a larger audience. Before the app was discontinued, it offered these various features.
  • You could use the service either via app or via the chef.one website.
  • It was not, however, about bringing people together for a restaurant visit.
  • Those who like to cook could advertise a menu online at Chef One - including the maximum number of people and the price.
  • Whoever was looking for a dinner to share could browse the listings and choose one they liked.
The private nature of Chef One is what makes it so appealing and sets it apart from other social dining apps. And because it's a cross-section of the population, the offerings are very diverse. Both inexpensive dinners in student shared flats and classy menus for business people can be found on a regular basis. Chef One thus covers a broad spectrum and helps introduce a wide variety of people to each other. Note: The app has been temporarily suspended. It is still unknown whether it will be put back into operation.
