With Excel you can clearly display different amounts of data in tables. In addition, you can create charts to visualize the information. If it has happened that spaces have crept in, especially at the beginning of cells, you can remove them in Excel in just a few steps.

How to remove spaces at the beginning of cells in Excel

Having created a table with large amounts of data in Excel, minor changes in the formatting of cells can take a long time. For this reason, the program provides you with numerous functions to speed up such operations. It does not matter whether you want to change the cell contents directly or just the presentation. If a space has crept into your table frequently, especially at the beginning of the cell, you can also remove this in a few steps with a function.

1. To use this function, you must first open the function wizard. For this you can, for example, press the key combination "Shift" + "F3".
2. Now opens a small window in which you can see various categories. Under "Category" you now select the option "Text". Unter „Funktion“ wählen Sie dagegen die Option „Glätten“ aus.
3. Als nächstes ist es nötig, den Bereich Ihrer Tabelle festzulegen, in dem die Leerzeichen am Anfang oder Ende gelöscht werden sollen.
4. Hierfür markieren Sie den Bereich, den Sie bearbeiten möchten. Anschließend wird unter „Text“ der Bereich nochmals angezeigt, den Sie ausgewählt haben.
