Excel: Remove spaces - these options are available
In Excel, there are numerous functions available that you can use to edit the records within your Excel spreadsheet. For example, if you want to remove all spaces in certain columns and rows, you can use a suitable function for this as well and write the text in a new cell.
How to remove spaces from a text in Excel
In Excel you can create data sets in different sizes. Tables are available for this purpose, which you can edit with various functions. If you have entries that contain various spaces, but you want to save them without spaces, then you can also use a command for this. So you save yourself the work of manually deleting the spaces.- First open the table in Excel in which you want to remove the spaces from a column or row.
- Now activate an empty cell, row or column in which the text should be written without spaces.
- Enter the command "=CHANGE(A1;" ";"")" in the cell, without the first and last quotation marks.
- The first argument "A1" stands for the cells containing the text you want to remove spaces. The second argument denotes the character you want to replace and the third argument by which you want to replace the second character. In this case, replace all the spaces with no character.
