Creating Playlists with VLC Media Player

To create a playlist with VLC Media Player, select "Add to VLC Media Playlist" from the context menu of a music file or drag files directly into the program. All selected tracks will be added to a current playlist and can then be played.

How to create a playlist

With VLC Mediaplayer, you can create a playlist by adding music files to the playlist via Windows Explorer or by dragging the files directly into the program. The player will then create a playlist from the selected music. However, you cannot save playlists. Programs like iTunes or Windows Media Player are good for this.

Add files by right-clicking

1. Open Windows Explorer and navigate to the folder where your music is stored.
2. Select a music file you want to add to the playlist.
3. Klicken Sie per Rechtsklick auf die Datei.
4. Im Menü wählen Sie „Zur VLC Media Player Wiedergabeliste hinzufügen“.
5. Markieren Sie einen Titel durch einen einmaligen Klick mit der linken Maustaste.
6. Halten Sie die STRG-Taste gedrückt und wählen Sie weitere Titel aus.
7. Beim letzten gewünschten Titel klicken Sie bei gedrückter STRG-Taste mit rechts und wählen dann wieder „Zur VLC Media Player Wiedergabeliste hinzufügen“ aus.

Dateien per Drag & Drop hinzufügen

1. Öffnen Sie den VLC Mediaplayer.
2. Öffnen Sie den Ordner, in dem sich Ihre Musik-Dateien befinden.
3. Ziehen Sie eine Datei mit der Maus in den Mediaplayer und lassen Sie los.
4. Markieren Sie mehrere Dateien mit der STRG-Taste und ziehen Sie diese in den VLC Mediaplayer.
