iPhone X disabled: Connect to iTunes
The iPhone X, like all iPhone models, will be temporarily disabled if the unlock code is entered incorrectly too many times. After the tenth incorrect entry, you will be prompted to connect your device to iTunes. Read why this happens and what to do now.
Connect to iTunes: This is what the message means on iPhone X
While the iPhone X is initially only temporarily disabled if you make too many incorrect attempts to enter the code, after the tenth incorrect entry you will receive a message that your device is permanently disabled and you need to connect it to iTunes to recover.- Please connect your iPhone X to a Mac, a PC or the laptop and start iTunes.
- Once iTunes has detected your device, click on its name and select "Restore".
- If iTunes does not detect the disabled iPhone X, it is necessary to put it into the so-called maintenance mode before restoring.
- This works by first turning off the device completely and then press and hold the "Standby Button" and the "Volume Up Button" until the Apple logo appears.
- Then release the standby button, but keep the "Volume Up Button" pressed until the display shows the message "Connect to iTunes".
