Disable iPad Code: Remove the screen lock

How to disable a previously set code on iPad

To protect your iPad from unauthorized access by strangers, you should use a code for your device. You can set this code by going to "Code" or "Touch ID & Code" in the settings. If you want to deactivate your code again, please follow these steps:

1. On the home screen of your iPad, open the Settings app and go to "Code" or "Touch ID & Code" or "Face ID & Code".
2. Now enter your current code and tap "Deactivate code".
3. To confirm the deactivation, you must now enter your code a second time. The screen lock is now turned off and you can close the settings.

Disable code: Use Touch ID or Face ID for your iPad

With this feature also known as fingerprint sensor, you can unlock your iPad simply by placing your finger on it. Face ID is another method that can be used on current devices.
