Sync Google Contacts - how to do it

Google Contacts lets you manage your contacts on an external platform. You can also synchronize the contacts collected there with other devices. This way, all changes will be automatically transferred to your devices. Below we will show you how to proceed for a synchronization.

Sync Google contacts with Android device

How to easily sync your Google contacts with an Android device:

1. Open the settings of your smartphone and select "Google".
2. Tap then on "Account services" > "Sync Google contacts" > "Also sync contacts" > "Automatically back up and sync contacts on device".
3. Here you activate the item "Automatically back up and sync contacts on device".
4. Now you can select the account on which the contacts are stored or with which they should be synchronized.

Sync Google contacts with iPhone

An automatic synchronization of contacts is also possible with an iPhone. Hierfür gehen Sie wie folgt vor:

1. Öffnen Sie zunächst die Einstellungen Ihres iOS-Gerätes.
2. Wählen Sie anschließend den Bereich „Passwörter & Accounts“ aus.
3. Danach tippen Sie auf „Account hinzufügen“.
4. Nun können Sie „Google“ auswählen. Jetzt müssen Sie sich mit Ihrem Google Konto einmalig anmelden.
5. Nachdem Sie sich in Ihr Konto eingeloggt haben, wird Ihnen eine neue Seite angezeigt. Hier können Sie den Schieberegler neben „Kontakte“ umlegen.
6. Abschließend wählen Sie „Sichern“ aus. Ihre Google Kontakte werden nun mit den Kontakten auf Ihrem iPhone synchronisiert.
