Sync Google Contacts with Outlook

If you want to sync your Google contacts with your Outlook, you can't do it directly, because unfortunately Google doesn't offer a way to do it yet. However, you can transfer the contacts manually or use a third-party app.

If you install the Outlook addon CCTSync, you can sync your Google contacts with Outlook. If you do not want to use a third-party app, the only option is to synchronize manually.

This is what you need to keep in mind when synchronizing

For a manual synchronization between Google Contacts and Outlook, proceed as follows:

1. Log in to Google Contacts.
2. Go to "More" in the navigation on the left. Click "Export" and confirm the prompt to switch to the old view of Google Contacts.
3. Click "More" again in the top navigation and select "Export" from the drop-down menu. Decide whether they want to export all contacts or only selected.
4. Select "Outlook CSV format" as the export format.
5. Click "Export" and select the location.
6. Click "File" in Outlook. Select "Open and Export" from the menu.
7. There, click the "Import/Export" item. Wählen Sie „Aus anderen Programmen oder Dateien importieren“ und bestätigen mit „Weiter“.
8. Wählen Sie „Durch Trennzeichen getrennte Werte“ und klicken Sie auf „Weiter“.
9. In diesem Schritt wählen Sie die heruntergeladene CSV-Datei aus und bestätigen mit „Weiter“.
10. Wählen Sie den Ordner „Kontakte“ aus und klicken erneut auf „Weiter“.
11. Klicken Sie auf „Benutzerdefinierte Felder zuordnen…“. Ziehen Sie jetzt noch die englische Formatierung von der linken Spalte auf die passenden in der rechten.
12. Klicken Sie auf „Ok“ und abschließend auf „Fertigstellen“.
