Xiaomi Mi 9: Rotate screen - this is how it is possible

Some apps can only be used in the horizontal view. For others, it is possible to switch between both views. This usually works automatically when you flip your Xiaomi Mi 9 over. But you also have the option to do it manually.

How to rotate the screen of your Xiaomi Mi 9

If you want to use an app in a different view, then it is possible to rotate the screen of your Xiaomi. For this to already happen automatically, you need to enable the corresponding option in the settings.

1. First open the settings of your Xiaomi Mi 9.
2. Then select the menu item "Operating aids".
3. Here you will find the option "Rotate screen automatically". Activate this to make the screen rotate automatically when you turn your smartphone. Note that when using the "TalkBack" function, the voice output may be interrupted when you rotate the device.
4. If the automatic rotation does not work despite the option being activated, various errors may be behind it. Turn off your device first and turn it on again after a few seconds to solve the problem.
5. If the error is still not resolved, a factory reset can help. Note that this will delete all content on the device. For this reason, create a backup of your data before performing. Save the backup on an external data carrier or, for example, on the PC.
