OneNote: sync - use your notes everywhere

A very handy feature of the notes app is that you can sync your notebooks on different devices. This way, any entries you make on one of your devices will show up on all your other devices as well.

How to sync OneNote

Syncing OneNote is not complex and can be set within a short time.

1. First open OneNote and be redirected to the main menu. Afterwards, click on the "File" button. Now a drop-down menu opens, in which you click on the rubric "Information".
2. You will now get to an overview in which your notebooks are listed. Select there the notebook you want to synchronize.
3. Click on "Settings" and select "Show synchronization status". Now a new window will open.
4. Now click on the button "Synchronize". Within a short time, your notebook will now be brought up to date.
5. Alternatively, you can also synchronize all notebooks together. To do this, do not click on a specific notebook, but select the "Sync all" button.
6. Then switch from automated synchronization to manual setting.

How often should you do this?

This question depends on how intensively you use OneNote. The more often you make entries in your notebooks from different devices, the more often you should synchronize to be at the same state everywhere. Since this process takes very little time, you can do it well in between.
